Peter Mount 0414 399 000 Peter built his first bike (a '49 Ariel 500 Twin) from a box of parts he bought for five quid when he was 16. He joined the MRA in 1981 when Third Party premiums for motorcyclists were increased by 86%, and he wanted to do something about it. He set up the 4Bs in 1982 and was its inaugural Coordinator. Peter became Secretary, Vice-President and President, and during his tenure the MRA established the SAMRATS ride group and the MRA magazine Centrestand in 1984, the MRA Registers (sub-branches) in 1986, the development (through the SA Government) of rider training standards and the RiderSafe scheme from 1985-1987 and skid-resistant road marking paint in 1989. In 1988 Peter wrote The Ride of Your Life, a booklet for novice riders, which was distributed through training centres. He has also spent a few years as Centrestand Editor. Peter was the MRA's Australian Motorcycle Council (AMC) representative from 1983-2002 and AMC Chairman for a number of years between 1990 and 2002. He incorporated the MRA in 1983 and has been Public Officer since that time.

Neville Gray, OAM 0416 050 189 I have been involved in the riding community in SA for over 40 years. I was proud to receive an OAM in February 2009 for my work in the area of motorcycle road safety. I hope my experience will be of benefit to the MRA.
Secretary
4B's Coordinator
AMC Representative
Register Liaison
Phil McClelland 0408 607 788 Phil seriously enjoys the policital aspect. Having served as a past president of the MRASA he currently follows two of his passions: work with the 4Bs and representing riders interests with the AMC. He has extensive riding experience. Including riding around much of OZ on his precious BMW.
Treasurer Angela McClelland 0428 887 751 Ange was introduced to motorcycling, along with her hubby in 2006. A dedicated pillion who quickly learnt to love motorcycling. Quoted as saying, Not interested in long boring bits of road, show me some winding fun stuff.
Toy Run Coordinator Harald Lindemann 0421 289 714 I've been a rider for 35 years, 27 of those with the MRASA. My idea of a good time is to head for the horizon by myself or with mates and see what new things I can discover about this great country of mine (or someone else's). Ask me about my next trip. I work for the MRASA because there is a lot of satisfaction in improving the motorcycling experience for all riders, even if most of the time they don't realise or acknowledge the gains we achieve on their behalf.
SAMRATS Coordinator Ken King 0401 866 037 I went back to riding motorcycles 3 years ago after not riding for 25 years . I like the feeling of freedom with motorcycling and blowing out the Monday to Friday cobwebs on the weekends. I have enjoyed the friendship and good vibes of the Samrats ride group for the last 2 years and I am keen for this to continue . Regards to all Samrats riders that I have already met and to all I am yet to meet, stay upright and may your lid never skid, Ken.
Membership Secretary Rene Borst 0407 505 506 I have been riding road bikes for about 30 years and scooters for a couple of years now. My current ride is a Yamaha TMax 500cc scooter. I joined the scooter club for camaraderie and social aspects as much as enjoyment of riding in a group and learning from and with other people.
Stock Controller Sean Beames 0430 018 572
Scooter Coordinator Marrie Jongeneel 0402 086 643 I have been riding scooters for about 4 years. My current ride is a Bolwell LeGrand 200cc scooter. I joined the group for the social aspect to make new friends and learn new skills. I also enjoy riding with a great group of people.
Minutes Secretary Liv Andersen 0415 412 267
